Extra Special People, Inc. strives to enhance the lives of children with developmental disabilities and their families by focusing on their abilities – not disabilities.

CEC is proud to have been able to participate in the construction of the ESP Dream Build. A fully-accessible facility with classrooms, recreation areas, kitchen and bathrooms designed for disabilities and wheelchairs, and rooms for physical therapy equipment, sensory therapy and accessible technology.

Three years ago, ESP dreamed of a space that truly suited the needs of its participants. A strategic plan was made and a $3 million capital campaign was launched. Through the generosity of our community and the Plant the Flag initiative, ESP is realizing the dream of a more adequate facility right next door to our original home.

“On-Demand Engineering”

Caldwell Electrical Contractors, Inc. was selected as the design/build electrical contractor and is currently working on part of a major expansion in North Carolina for the largest poultry producer in the world. This project demand is 7 days a week for 6 months with the design and installation performing simultaneously with the owner, general contractor and refrigeration contractor. The size of this project is profound as it includes over 6,000 HP of new equipment for refrigeration outside of the production area that will include the design and building of UL Listed Control Panels, Motor Control Centers, New Distribution Panels, Instrumentation, and New Service Entrances.

With a timeline that has demanded 7 days a week for the last 3 months, the project completion in the next 3 months is a welcomed challenge. We feel that with our capabilities of on demand engineering during installation we are the go-to electrical contractor for all of your industrial needs. Check back with us over the next few months with more updates on the progress.
